Canadian-born artist Mia Feuer received her MFA from the Department of Sculpture + Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University. Feuer has received numerous research and production grants from the Manitoba, Winnipeg, and Canada Council as well as fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center, Seven Below Arts Initiative, the Mid Atlantic Foundation for the Arts, the Millay Colony, the Macdowell Colony, the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Sculpture Space, the District of Columbia Center for the Arts and Humanities, the Arctic Circle, and The Banff Centre. She has had solo exhibitions at FLUXspace, Transformer Gallery, Arlington Arts Center, the Firehouse Gallery, the Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center, CONNERSMITH, The Corcoran Museum, Locust Projects, and the Esker Foundation. Upcoming residencies and exhibitions include Va Space Residency in Isfahan, Iran; the Gulkistan Residency in Laugarvatn, Iceland; and the Saatchi Gallery in London.
