This course will blur as well as implode the lines of demarcation between poetry, prose and essays.  While exploring the theme of nature, students will read works by writers of this subject as well as write in all three genres. The course will interrogate these literary divides, investigating the main objective for each.  We will focus our attention on how nature recycles its own waste, while also examining how disposable waste impacts nature, especially the ocean. Additionally, we will explore the role of nature in our lives and our response and responsibility to our natural world.
